Attendance Expectations

Students must attend all classes, arrive on time, and follow assigned schedules. Written explanations from parents are required for absences or early dismissals.

Justifiable Absences

Illness, family death, medical/dental appointments, religious obligations, or principal-approved reasons.

Unexcused Absences

An unexcused absence occurs without prior parent knowledge, consent, or legitimate reason. School personnel will notify parents and take appropriate action.

Progressive Consequences

  • After two unexcused absences: Parent conference may be requested
  • After five unexcused absences: Mandatory parent meeting to develop attendance plan
  • Additional absences: Second warning conference
  • Persistent non-attendance may result in expulsion

Students are responsible for completing missed assignments. Teachers may assist in identifying work but are not obligated to provide make-up assignments.
