Students experiencing anger or conflict are encouraged to resolve issues peacefully with help from teachers, counsellors, and staff. Threatening or physically attacking students or staff results in serious consequences.
Everyone deserves dignified treatment. Intentional demeaning or intimidating behaviour—verbal, physical, written, or electronic (cyberbullying)—diminishes confidence and interferes with learning. Students witnessing or experiencing bullying must inform authorities immediately. Serious consequences apply.
Students take credit only for their own work. Copying or using others’ work constitutes cheating, plagiarism, or forgery.
Students must respect school property. Damaging, stealing, vandalising, or unauthorised presence on school grounds are subject to discipline.
Disrupting class, disobeying teachers, or creating disturbances prevents learning and may endanger others. This includes athletic events and field trips. Prohibited behaviours: defying authority, offensive language/gestures, threats, fighting, and bringing laser devices, fireworks, matches, or lighters.
Students who damage, destroy, or steal property (including HHPS property) must compensate by restoring items to original condition or paying for repair/replacement.
All prescription and over-the-counter medications must be administered through the school health room. Parents must deliver medications with proper documentation.
Students access vast resources through our Internet network and computers. Responsible use includes ethical behaviour, respecting others’ privacy and work, maintaining workstations, and following safety/security rules.
With teacher approval, students may use personal laptops, netbooks, and tablets. Devices must be registered with the school. HHPS is not responsible for loss or damage.
We respect students’ self-expression while maintaining appropriate appearance for an ISC school setting. Clothing must not display vulgar, discriminatory, or obscene language or images.
